Who knows
Well I just got back from work experience on a woodsense course at woodlore, :D:D:D:D is all i can say really, absolutely exellent and i learnt tons. I saw badgers for the first time and it was only about 9-10 metres away, we also had a deer fawn run to about 10 yards away from us :D
When ive got some cash i would love to do the fundemental and the journeyman sounds great
So i'd like to say a thanks to Fenlander and John lord for organising it and to Paul, Dan, Yella and Fiona for giving me a great time
Now for pictures:

Leon,

Good to hear you enyoyed it - was it as wet as the rest of the country?? I am off in a week for the fundamental. Any tips?

niiiiiiiiiice i really want to go on the fundemental, i see there are still spaces for 2008 so might ask my mum if she will help me out with some cash lol
ermmmm tips, well put every bit of food in a plastic box or hoist it into the tree because it WILL get eaten by mice. Also get a pair of sealskinz socks trust me you will want some when you are there, your feet get relly wet otherwise

Welcome back Leon - it looks like the weather held out for you and I'm really pleased
that you had such a great time. Or maybe you just waited until the rain stopped before
taking the pictures hehe.

Oddly enough I was looking at Fenlander and John Lord's websites today. OK not that
odd I suppose :)

What's pace tracking? I can sort of guess but to the untrained eye (that would be mine)
it looks like leaves - alive and dead - and some twigs. Is it something to do with the little
green and red things sticking up, that look like lollipop sticks?

Love the ingenuity of the staff washup table.

How are you going to raise funds to get to the Fundamental? Do you have to be 18?

No the weather was crap and it rained all week apart from today :(, pace tracking is where you find every single footprint and it takes a long time, you use lolly sticks and a pace stick, the lolly sticks go in where the heel is and in this case we used red for right and yellow for the left foot, from the end of the pace stick to the first rubber band is the boot print length and from the end of the stick to the second rubber band is the stride length from heel to heel
Not sure how i will raise funds, i work but only get £17 a week as i dont work much, if im not old enough for the fundemental i will do the junior one
PS: please could paul PM me as i deleted your old PM and dont know what your bcuk name is :)

Glad you had a great time. Thanks for sharing the pics. Full time job as an instructor next? Hope you get on the Fundamental.:D

Glad you had a good time and I really take my hat off to all you guys who sleep under a tarp for a week in awful weather conditions.

Glad to hear that it was a good experience Leon, congrats for getting the experience under your belt, it's a great place to start picking up more knowledge :35:
