This is a knife i did a trade for (thanks John!), I rather like its shape and handle, but the sheath is not that great. The sheath has a plastic linner which is not a snug fit, so the knife slaps the sides of the scales as you walk. Also the belt loop is a bit feeble and tended to both twist and swing.
I have constructed the sheath out of soft upholstery hide and turned down the edge to produce a contrast, I call this a 'wing collar'. The idea of the design is that it is made for a neck loop rather than a belt. The edge has been overcast with a red leather thong. The scales are made of hardboard treated with acrylic varnish, the welt is a thin cord which has been rolled in grab adhesive. I have not joind the bottom of the scales to allow any water the gets in to drip out of the bottom.
