Willow back scratcher

Must say, lovely wood to carve. Did all of this with my Spyderco BCUK knife, finished with a slight rub down with sandpaper & light coating of tung oil

The natural curve in the branch I split gave me the idea but so did this:

Looks great. Never carved willow but it's been mentioned a few times so I might have to give it a try.

Well done, I carved one from pine, but my wood work does leave a lot to be desired.

One question, why does using a back scratcher feel so good ?!!

It's how it grows out from the trunk then up - the tree has previously been pollarded
