According to the news there's a wildfire three miles away from a nuclear power plant in Suffolk.
Hope everyone's ok and they get the fires under control.

If any off site fire seriously affects a nuclear power plant then someone is going to get a major kicking for a defective site design!
Yeah, it's uncomfortably close. The chief fire officer is due to give an update. As far as I can tell, it's increased in size dramatically over the last hour or so and is still not under control.
Hope you and yours can keep safe. That is not the view you want from a window!

Forecast today suggests wind will do virtually a 180 degree change of direction about 6pm onwards, from southerly around north easterly to due north. If enough has been burnt off there might not be enough fuel for it to travel back. However the unburnt edges could burn back very quickly.
I see London has 63 grass fires - my biased view, almost certainly lit by scrotes for fun.

Yeah, ready to leave if need be. Just making it so that process is as simple as possible, if it becomes necessary.
We're pretty close, so our village hall has been asked to be on standby for evacuees. We've got a spare room, so can open our doors too.
Small correction: my typo error; forecast wind will go from southerly to northwesterly, not nor' east, then round to approx due northerly. Still doing a 180 but going round in the other direction. Probably won't make much difference to you.

Yes probably one of the few circumstances where 7Ps would be useful..
A bob doesn't need to contain fantastical items for a very very high impact but equally very improbable type event - it needs the basics and some things that should have been made ready in advance.
Copies of what one considers all essential paperwork , documents , Passports ( just to avoid the naus factor ) , insurance details etc etc would be a good start.
Or copy the whole lot onto a secure Cloud storage device. Same with valued photos.
