Went out for an overnighter BH weekend. Fortunate to have some family owned woods to use. Mix of weather being a comfortable tempreature for most it, with a few hours of rain which is always nice sat under a tarp.

On accommodation duties I had the DD Frontline Superlight hammock, DD under quilt, DD Superlight XL tarp and a Snugpak hammock quilt.

A mate of mine has started making these, essentially a waterproof organiser for your kit, has press stud corners making bathtub sides to stop your kit rolling off, made from ripstop tarp material. Perfect for keeping kit dry and organised, folds up very small and weighs next to nothing.

Got a bit of shooting in too, took along by BSA Ultra, my new HW35E and my HW99.

The range, out at 40yrds (about 37m) hitting some good consistent 30mm groups. Also a resettable spinner target which is always fun.

Bushbox XL titanium on entertainment, warmth and cooking duties.

Nothing flash for dinner, just Stag Chilly, cooked in the good old crusader mess tin, with a crusty buttered roll.

One of my favourite bits of kit for a morning cuppa, folding stove to use with the trangia, folds flat, its very efficient too, making the most of the heat and keeps the wind out.

A lovely relaxing 24 hours, sat on my backside, shooting, eating, watching the bush box, oh and I may have had a hip flask of Gentleman Jack with me too for good measure.

Terrific ! The only way to spend a bank Holiday weekend..:)
I've got an HW 35 in .22. Still a great gun but I think Noah may have used it about the time he ran the Ark aground..Not really, it was a new present in early 70's. I've never seen a folding stove like that one before, is that commercial or home made?
