Below is a video of my wife and I practicing some fire starting techniques. I tried some very weathered shaggy juniper bark for my first tinder bundle. It was so dry that it kept splintering and was a bad choice. Then the cloud cover blocked out the sun. I had to make a new tinder bundle and wait until the next day. My wife used a fire steel on a piece of char cloth made from a cotton web belt. It worked much better than the char cloth made from a jute belt. At the end of the video is a shot of one of our ribeyes and some yarrow tea. The video was made by a friend of ours. Thanks for looking.
