As per title i always wonder why non of us seem to wear leather jackets or coats, iv seen a few vintage looking ones that wouldnt look out of place with the traditional users who love to use natural materials, im not talking about shiny biker jackets but more the worn cowboy style cloaks. I realise they are quite heavy and dont pack very small but to alot of us thats not realy a problem for bimbling about.
Anyway i was just wondering if anybody uses one or has in the past i dont myself but just curious. Thanks

Now theres some real skill there thanks for the link il take a closer look at that. Must be a amazing skill to aquire. I had a small session a few years ago and enjoyed it

I've got a leather waistcoat, too, in brown, and the thing gets worn almost continuously when there is no need for a coat.

Best of all it was £1 in a charity shop.

I wear leather all the time when I'm in the woods. The wife usually wears a leather coat when we walk the dogs.

I always leather boots, almost always leather trousers, often other leather stuff. Can't beat it for knocking about in the rough in our climate but I wouldn't want to wear it in warmer places.

Sheepskin is great, warm in the winter, very breathable, I was wearing mine in the High Atlas this spring. Couldn't do without leather boots, Alberg by preference, and wear leathers on the bike. Great material.
