I have just taken apart an old IPK. Now the pegs are useful and the tarp will be made into bags and stuff. My question is, the braided cord that comes with it looks like it might be strong enough to make into whoopie slings for hammocking. Does anyone know the breaking strength?

I don't know the specifics but it couldn't support my weight at 75kg's( as I was then), bored on exercise and made a swing out of it and three beaners, the cord snapped around it's mid point so wasn't even a knotted end that went. hope that helps.

Thanks mate, that's all I needed to know. I'll have to get some Amsteel then.

Hahahaha, yeah set up correctly, the string just supports the sheet to stop the dirt you throw on top off the log supports from falling in all the time and getting in your s10 eye pieces. :p
