I'd say mine is Daniel Craig, followed by Timothy Dalton. In the books, James Bond was never as suave and sophisticated and nothing at ALL like Roger Moore.

Poooooshy. It has to be Sean. Apart from being magnetic on screen, he was the only one with (almost) the correct nationality (Bond has a Scottish father and a Swiss-French mother).

5th Moore (but respect to him for being a very nice guy who does a lot for charity and has never taken himself seriously)
6th Brosnan
David Niven in his prime would also have been superb.

I prefer Craig but Living Daylights is definitely the best film and it has the best bird in it.
Best actor, Sean Connery, best film, Dr. No.
I liked the character portrayed by Daniel Craig, I think he was closer to Fleming's creation, however whereas the first film was flawed, the second film was terrible.
Any Bond fans who have not yet read any of the books should really try to do so, they can be quite entertaining.
If you enjoy the Bond books then Len Deighton and John le Carré await.
