welcome to the forum mate.

wood spirits are nice arty projects, spoons and kuskas are the perenial bushcraft favourites, camp gadgets such as pot hangers are the quickest practical projects, trap triggers are a great test of skill.

I've been thinking a hex head bolt with a thread would be an interesting challenge (not remotely useful - just interesting and a test of skill). Bit different too :)

Spoons (both eating and cooking), bowls and kuksas, hooks for the wall, butterknife, spatula, decorated hiking stick, packframe, pot hooks, bullroarer, coathanger (either nick the hook from an old plastic one, or use a natural wooden hook), needle case...

If you have nice figured wood small carved "jewlery" in the form of pendants (etc). Hairpins? Shrink-pots? Miniature "totem poles". Masks. Carry stick*. Flower-sticks (decorated sticks to support potted plants).

Basically a lot of usefull stuff, both for yourself and as gifts.

* A stick with a nice shape and a hook, used balanced on your shoulder with a bag hanging on your back.
