I'm not sure I'd recommend that you spend a lot of money on it. It might be better to invest a small sum of money in some sharpening gear if you don't already have it, especially something like a strop and some abrasive paste, or alternatively a steel, just to touch the blade up slightly after each use. The investment you make in those, and in learning the techniques to use them, will not be lost if you decide to change your knife. Whatever you do I think your knife is going to need more attention than some other blades might need, but if you give it regular maintenance it should perform quite well.
