Where on earth do you source size 14 walking boots?

I'm looking for something waterproof and reasonably hard wearing. I'm on a budget but but realise that something like this isn't going to be cheap but they are desperately needed.

I've tried all my local high street shops, army surplus and markets but can only find up to a size 13 :/

I can't be the only one on here with clown feet?

Can anyone recommend a decent online place to get them with an easy returns policy if they don't fit?

Any help is much appreciated! :)

The Finnish Defence Forces' M05 combat boot is available also in sizes 49 and 50 (c. UK 14 & 15). My last pair lasted for two years in everyday use in urban environment and they are reasonable waterproof with shoe polish applied. The lowest price I could find online is 120 € a pair.

Hello

Harkila manufacture up to size USA 17 in some of their boots, which is equivalent to a UK 15-16 (larger foot size) so you would happily fit into these.

Granted we do not keep them in stock in UK 14, but we do carry up to UK 13, and could supply your size with only a couple of days delay to normal shipping.

The Harkila Pro Hunter Kevlar 10" are a great Bushcraft boot, with loads of protection from tough terrain, and with a Gore Tex waterproof membrane, they are guaranteed to keep you dry.

I rate them personally too.

I brought these in the end: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Timberland-Chocorua-Trail-Trekking-Hiking-mens/dp/B005EP81D4

But for £35, as a returned boot with no laces and a scuff on the toe. Bargain, but they've fallen apart on me already.

Looking at something with Goretex or equivalent in the size 13/14 range and a budget of up to £150ish. Looking for a mid height boot... So far I've had a look at some Lowa's and Zamberlan's. Curious as to what BCUK has to recommend before I pull the trigger and order the Lowa mountain boot.

With plates as big as them you need to try before you buy, but that sort of price should give you a good choice of footwear.

I like the look of those Harlika from Scott country, but a bit out of my price range.

I'd recommend the Lowa mountain boot, just because it is a top quality boot and is available off-the-shelf up to size 15. I'm still wearing a pair I bought in Germany ten years ago.

I've also worn Meindl MFS and Altbergs, both highly rated and quality footwear which I'd buy again.

Cheers for that Rob. I usually like to try before I buy but it's a nightmare trying to get anything in a retail shop, at least around here. I'll check the returns and sizing policies carefully before I place any order. These things can't be rushed. The Harlika's look amazing, but alas, considerably out of my budget.

Hmm, ta for that. I've heard quite good things about them so I may end up with the Lowa's. Cheers.
