A stick!
And when it's been reduced to a pile of shavings I'll likely start another.;):D

Edit: that's not whittling- it's carving. Whittling is what I do- just a pile of shavings as nothing else is recognizable!

ahh wooden floors are wonderful! Working on an Ash kuksa at the moment. possibly a few spoons too. Found a large Ash tree that had blown down over a road and the council had just cut it up enough to clear it to the side. Left all these wonderful convenient bits just laying there. :D :D

Just finished carving my first axe handle and letting the old axe head sit in vinegar for a wee while (pictures and thread to follow) Yesterday I also started out on
another kuksa after the last one split and had the capacity of a shot glass anyway, also carved a spoon out of ash not so long ago so that I could get a feel for the wood before starting out on the axe handle, Its been great fun though, the Mora and the GB kubben hatchet have laughed at the challenge and only just about need a sharpen.
And great work Hoodoo, they look awesome.
And southey, I'm more of a Family Guy type myself but American Dad is good as well, on BBC3 by any chance lol, great thread
cheers
