I have been given a stainless steel milk pail similar to the one in the pic below:
I believe the one I have is a 3 gallon version, and its 12" in diameter across the base and about 18" tall.
When I first saw it, I thought it would make a great home forge for someone wanting to try their hand at knife making.
However, I don't really have the skills, time or resources to get into that.
I have been thinking it would make a good fire pit: Cut the bottom off, get a stainless steel top welded on, and add a few holes to the walls before inverting the whole thing?
