nope, it's a load of rubbish. give it to me! :naughty:

according to the write up in leroy thompsons book on survival knives, it comes with two interchangeable blades, one being stored in a specific pocket in the pouch. you have to dismount the blade to use the sharpening stone on the handle. i wonder if both blades are supposed to be mounted at the same time on yours, or perhaps it's a later version than the one in the book.

apparently the locking stud can be used as a bottle opener.

in conclusion he writes that the ace-pal-o (great name innit, sort like the acme gadget-o-matic thingy off a road runner cartoon) is not a particularly high quality knife but an interesting concept and very inexpensive. he still prefers a swiss army knife.

the date in my book is 1986. so these things have been around a while. a very interesting find i reckon.

cheers, and.

Thanks for that!

I wondered what the pocket in the back of the sheath was for!

Pignut,

I know it's unlikely but if there are any more I would take one - I love gadgets, especially sharp ones.

Cheers
