What bands?

Got this catty from the GIO thread and am chuffed....

30mins of use and the bands break!

So what bands would you recommend.

I'd recomend padding/softening the eyelets as they look like the metal will always prematurely wear the bands.

You'd have to try a few things, depends on asthetics you want. Fabric tape, duck tape, plastic dip (from electrical/model shops), whiped with fabric/thin cord. Just think the edges will wear the bands because of mechanical stress. Nice looking catty though, you having fun with it?

This is similar to the Dankung type of cattys. Could be that the rubber with the supplied bands was rubbish, or the the finish on the inside of the fork holes is rough. Try here for made up band sets or buy the rubber to make your own

I've never had a problem with this type of catty, its always been inferior bands. This type of catty is pretty good normally.
