Wellies - do they ever fit like normal footwear?

My hiking boots are salomon so even vibram is an improvement on them. They make anything wet feel like skating on ice and I cannot stay upright when skating on ice!

Well I used them and on a wet, muddy and steep hill I didn't slip at all but my partner in dulop boots went flying a few times. In my salomon boots I'd have been on my behind more than she was. I'm impressed with the grip.

It's literally only on smooth wet rock (like river boulders or wet slate) that my Vibram soles fail

Had some of that too, limestone! Can't get slippier rock when wet I reckon.
