Wax or oil finishing

I have just got a new knife with a really nice olive wood handle but it dosnt look as if the wood has been finished in any way, so I was thinking of putting something on it to really bring out the grain. I dont seem to have any oil or wax polish anywhere, only a small block of beewax so what would you sugest?

i would (in my limited experience) recommend using some boiled linseed oil. really brings out the grain.

or Danish oil which sets over time, i have been told soak it for 3 days then remove wipe and let dry.....

I have seen a video of someone melting wax into their knife handle with a blowtorch. dont know how this would bring out the grain but melting wax is fun. you could try and gets some olive wood scraps to do testers on
