Waterproof/stormproof zip

Hi all.
I have a jacket I bought on my travels a few years ago, but unfortunately the zip has gone on it. I have been looking for ages to try and find somewhere that sell/makes those kind of zips.

Here is what I mean;

Can you tape seams? or are you going to use seam seal to reproof the stitching? I'll warn you it's a pain in the bottom to do well. A specialist repairer might be a cheaper and neater option, and their work will be guaranteed (worth it if the jackets a pricey one).
