Woohoo! I've just finished one of Risk's "Warmhammocks", but one with a bag of down sewed to the bottom of it, instead of synthetic insulation.
I ordered some 900 loft down from Ed Speer, so now I have a hammock and underquilt combined. The whole thing, with spectra support lines weighs 535grams! (19 oz)

When I lie down in the hammock, I can feel there is about 3 to 4 inches of down underneath me. I tested it today in the backyard, and was toasty warm at 5 degrees C. In a couple of weeks I'll be using it around freezing in the Gross Valley (here in Oz)

I'll have some pictures of it up in a couple of days.
My pack weight is decreasing.... :)

So is it basically a big bag then? I'd be slightly worried about the down migrating to the lowest point during the night... Be interested to hear how it pans out, as I've been considering doing something very similar (as an underblanket) myself.
