UK highlights?

hello.
i'm sort of planning a trip for late summer/autumn.
not 100% decided on where, but the UK seems to have interesting locations, and its fast and inexpensive to get there.
it will be more of an hiking/exploration expedition, and little to no bushcraft.

so this is a list of things i'd like to do:

Loch Ness
maybe visit a whisky distillery
eat haggis
hiking the Scottish highlands
Hadrians wall
Stonehenge
Sherwood forest
and finishing off the trip in London

but to the reason i started this thread, what other interesting places should i consider visiting(either because of history, awesomeness, etc)?

If your planning on starting in Scotland working South then a visit to High Force and Beamish Museum after Hadrian's Wall.

Then everywhere on your list is worth seeing and doing. Also the Lake district and the Brecon Beacons are beautiful at that time of the year.
