Turnshoes - mark one

This is my pair of turnshoes. Quite an experience ) and they are a fairly good fit for the first attempt. I had to use a mix of materials as I was making this from leavings of previous leather projects. The soles are fairly thick veg tan, the uppers are chrome tan. The thread I was using (linen, pre-waxed) ran out on the second one so I had to finish it in black

But I'm happy they fit and I made them!

They look good. Was there a pattern for them? If so is it available online?

I got my pattern from Petty Chapman. There's a booklet with details of how to make the various styles from them too.

covers all types of show through out the middle ages. Made a fair few pairs myself for my Viking group. Hard work but rewarding to make.
