Stolen thread from UKclimbing.
Is there a proper name for the fog/clouds that are often seen on a steep wooded hillside? -It is most often seen on forrestry plantation land.
I'm told that it is a land mist of some form but would love to know the proper name as though 'tree fog' seems accurate, it's probably not a technical enough name.
-------------
I suggest "drysmian" (from which drysmaþ comes) is the word you want.

So any ideas for a name?
