I don't know about flint being used as a saw, but there are examples of Egyptian sickles made by mounting microliths (small stone flakes) in a wooden handle, like a row of teeth. They used a black pitch to secure them.

I seem to recall (not from personal experience at the time) that animal jaw bones were used as saws and clubs. The projecting teeth on a jaw bone could have been used as well as the underside - shaped with stone tools to give a serrated edge - probably didn't last too long but a very simple and effective tool.
