Had a tree sit back and pinch the bar hard on my chainsaw. The only way to remove the saw was to chop it out with my rough work axe that I use for hammering in wedges. Inevitably axe met saw

Most reliable metal detector known to mankind is a plumber borrowing one of my good chisels.

Guaranteed to find a nail with it.

Nowadays I bomb them off when they ask but I used to be far more helpful and I'd lend them the odd chisel.
