Trangia Fuels issue !

Suprised you say B&Q aren't stocking it as I bought some from the lakeside one just last weekend. No questioning or anything at all.

Mind you the real hazard buying it at B&Q is it's expensive there, £2.98 for 500ml

do any of the auto parts stores in your area sell "drygas" or what my be called gas line antifreeze? it is used for helping to rid water build up in a gas tank and preventing it from freezing in your gas lines here in The US one brand name is "HEET" in the yellow bottle

Right - you wont believe this,

I went to atlanic homestore and they didnt have any either, so

I went to Millets - the camping shop, next to the trangias, they had only gas and colmena petrol stuff, no methes by the Girl told me to try Boots the chemist !


Went into boots, they had it in the safe in the pharmacy section.

But - I had to fill in a form - name, address, and stating its use !! - as its classified as a poison !!!!


Something odd going on, as i bought some last month no problems........

You should be able to pick up meths in any good camping shops,. If they sell trangias ,they will sell the fuel.

except millets !

My local Homebase had it last weekend, only had about 3 bottles and it was £2.99 for 750ml i think.

Aldi had some car degreaser stuff in a bottle, i thought about trying it, i was presuming it would be like panel wipe possibly ?
