I am just curious as what the rules are with trading ? I know that you have to be a member to sell anything but where do we stand with trading?

Any advice would be much appreciated ☺️

Hello Danny,

There is an area of the forum called Swap Shop, which is for swapping or trading items. It is free, you do not need a paid membership to start posts there.

Specifically:

Also good to be familiar with.

Just start a thread in there with the items you want to trade and what you would like in return.

Ah that's brilliant, sorry I'm still learning to navigate the site.
Thank you very much for your assistance.

The Swap Shop is for all members of Bushcraft UK to use, no money is allowed to change hands, the idea is that you put up an item or items that you are willing to swap, anyone interested can offer something of theirs to swap with you.

Looks like this is an old post, but I thought I’d chime in anyway. Trading rules can be a bit tricky. Generally, if you want to sell, you need to be a member of the platform or exchange. Trading often requires compliance with specific guidelines, including registration, fees, or adhering to certain practices.

I guess the rules are usually pretty straightforward—no money involved, just swapping items. You’d post what you’ve got and what you’re looking for, and others can make offers.

Some people just don't learn all that fast! Derek's first post wasn't approved, because...well, they are an obvious spammer....and bless his heart, he tried again after the weekend. Even though he had a thread all his own in Intro matching him to his practical twin.
