This is a bamboo arrow tipped with a "trade point" style broadhead hacksawed from an old paint scraper. The tip was rounded and slotted the tanged point was epoxied in and bound with artificial sinew. I accidentally shot this into a brick wall, so it's pretty solid. The fletching is goose feathers from the park, but I've screwed it up by using right and left feathers, so it needs a fletching make over. The fletching is bound on with phormium flax. The "flax" has a nice primitive look, but chews up the bow, so when I redo it I'll use the sinew, which looks better IMO. Whilst I was messing with artificial sinew I rebound a knife I made last year. I really like how the artifical sinew looks, I might buy some real sinew from "Flybow". Does anyone know where I can get decent feathers?

PS I hope this qualifies for "edged tool".

Thanks TeeDee! I bought a horsebow of that German guy on ebay who displays his bows on a sheepskin rug. I've also got a bow(ish) I made from an ash sapling.
