A couple of months ago I bought a bergans 4-6 lavvu, but have had one chance to pitch it. What I found really difficult was pegging it out in the right shape before I put in the pole. It has no ground sheet and so some parts of the tent seemed to be over stretched while others seemed loose. Are there any tips you can give me for pegging it out correctly? I noticed that Tentipis come with a cord for measurig the size, should I improvise one myself?
thanks
Emma

I keep meaning to make myself one of these. (either that or spend a tenner http://www.tauntonleisure.com/tentipi-pole-plate/p8283)

Its an idea, but my lavvu has 10 pegs, plus it is not supposed to exactly circular. Instead it is slightly wider that it is deep, if you know what I mean.

Have a look at this video

It appears you put 3 pegs in at the widest and one of the narrowest points then put the pole up after which you put the rest of the pegs in :)
