Nice pouch. It looks like the Barbour dressing does not change the color much at all.

This is the one I made from Filson shelter cloth.

I also gave it a heavy coat of Filson wax and melted that in with a hair dryer.

Now, that pouch I like. Was the cloth that colour before you applied the wax? I am going to get some natural colour canvas and try this again and hopefully I will land up with something like Schwert's, which is what I really wanted. The canvas I tried this with was some salvage from the pouches I made for my firebox and grill.

I have got one of those sewing ulu's at the top of my shopping list, I got a 5" ulu from a chap on BB, its got to be one of the best kitchen knives we have, love it! :)

The Filson shelter cloth came in that brown color. It was waxed during their manufacturing process and I added additional wax when I was done sewing it. The two photos above were taken prior to my additional wax job, but the additional wax did not change the color or feel much at all.

This little ulu is one of my favorite tools. This one made by Maynard Linder in Homer Alaska, this one with a SeaCow bone handle.
