changed rhys' thumbstick...into a catapult he can shoot easily....

he can take this anywhere...and shoot as he pleases...

theraband yellow tubes...seem a nice light draw for him... so went with that (i got off whipbed)....

scolloped the fork tip to keep the bands running true.....anf secured with some cord tied with a 'constrictor knot...

this would have held....i tried it... but for extra safety...not taking chances with kids...i wrapped the cord a few times and then tidied up with some green elastic...

Is the habit of having a thumb in the fork of a catty a good one to have? I haven't fired one for many years but it was drummed into me never to do this. Perhaps it's no longer seen as important, I don't know.......

Great idea though, and wonderful for the little fella to have such a nice thing....................

I lost a thumbnail launching a rock from a ground bait catty doing just that.

Never do it again.

Nope! Ideally this should be held in the hammergrip style below the 'Y' to keep hand and digits out of the line of fire. Made this mistake a long time ago when shooting 20mm marbles and lost a thumbnail as a result!

You would be correct...best not to hold it that way...

He usually holds his catapults in hammergrip...

Redards to grip... theres manu different variations...all 'safe' ... depending on the frame used.... and intended use...

Everybody is different...and shooting styles vary...

Cheers
