Those songs that gets under the skin, but in a GOOD way.

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
It's not very often that this happens but sometimes, just sometimes, a song is brought to my attention that I don't get tired of listening to over and over and over again. The other night in Skype with my Daughter in Scotland had this playing in the back ground, I asked it who it was and she told me.

So this afternoon I've spent the time at my desk drawing and as I draw I have youtube on playing music tracks now and then and so far, I think, I've refreshed this song about 20+ times. I just can't get enough of it! Normally I hate rap carp but I REALLY like this. Maybe it's because I can hear the lyrics and they don't sound like they've got a major chip on their shoulder... plus that chorus is just so nice. It reminds me very much of the early stuff of The Prodigy.

Anyway thought I'd share it you lot.

Anyone got this on MP3 format? PM me if so please.

With a thread title like yours, it has to be the one and only, superb, wonderful voice of Keely Smith and her (then) husband Louis Prima

No arguments with your opinion of the voices but that constant throwing of the drum kit down the stairs got to be too distracting. It was as if they were singing the lyrics to one song while the band played something else entirely... but that's jazz I suppose.

Juno Reactor - Pistolero. Just try not having that guitar refrain running through your head for days afterwards. It is so cool

Using youtube-dl, http://rg3.github.com/youtube-dl/

It'd be as simple as

youtube-dl -x --audio-format mp3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvXHJOyGlEs

Thanks Jared but I'm afraid I can't figure out what I need to do once I get to that website. There are a few things I know about PC's and software and others things I am sadly lacking in basic comprehension, this is one of them.

So love that video, thanks for reminding me of it Teepee. I sent out a general email a couple of years ago when that first came to my attention saying Doctors should put it on prescription for anyone suffering from depression, because anyone watching can't fail to smile. It's such a clever video and well choreographed.

while digging out the david Sylvian video earlier I found out that Mick Karn the frettless bassist had died of cancer in 2011. (Problem with insulating myself from the world). He was a great musician and did some great stuff with a unique sound. Here's the Dali's Car instrumental with his great playing. I tried to learn the bass and didn't get very far, stuck to drums.

Maybe not to all tastes but it rumbles 'round my head.
