Hey All,

Just starting to play about with leather now, I have some basic starter kit coming from Le Prevo and I have had some leather sitting here for quite a while.

One of the hides I have is pretty thin (goat maybe), 1mm with quite a few holes scratches etc but I don't know what to make from it. Has anyone got any ideas that can inspire me?
I made a small drawstring pouch many moons ago with it and it seems to have stood the test of time, which is good especially if it is made by me :)

Cheers,
Andy

Ah that's linen I think.
However, if you cut thinnish strings of the fine leather, (you can cut them from a spiral like peeling an apple for this to use up scraps), and just twist them like making fibre cordage, it makes really good ties for these soft leather pouches.

For folks who don't have leather but would like a play with these soft pouches, get hold of a chamois leather for cleaning the car and it'll do fine. It appreciates a good rub in with hand cream though.

cheers,
Toddy
