For the first time since I was a kid, I'm looking forward to seeing some snow now. I'll be as happy as a pig in poo.

I noticed that the fox and the otter spotted the glow from the IR emitters, and got spooked. It might be worth trying a Wratten visually opaque IR filter to see if it works with your camera. Any major photographic supplier should be able to find some for you, but I can't remember what the filter number is. That would completely eliminate any glow from the emitters but you'd need to try it out.
