The Making Of An Epic Failure

[Dean]

Was making a Welsh love spoon for my mother. I got to almost the end and while cutting out the last but one heart I applyed a little too much force, and bamn hair-line fracture. Gutted.
I was having a problem getting the pictures to be not so large on here, so I gave up and here is a slide show of the spoon's birth.

Wood is Silver Birch (Seasoned four years)

I feel for you - that would have been a beaut!
Would a bit of superglue ease into the split without showing more than as a bit of "grain"?

I Tried that first but the fracture runs at a off angle, but runs through the grain. Does not matter really, guess it gives me another reason to get out and harvest more wood. Misses will love that.
