Get down to your local Tesco store they have reduced their smoke bags from £1.99 to 30p they are great for smoking in a self contained foil bag good for meat or fish

I like the Alder one, smells great, only the wife hates the smell in the house, good for cooking in on a tipi stove.

is that the mild smoke one I just bought a load of them today but had to put some back as they only allow 10 per customer would they work placed on hot embers

Yeh mild smoke, I think that was the one, We used them on the top of our stove in our tipi, cooked on the hot plate, I think you could use them on the embers or coals, might be a bit much in full flame, Fish is really nice cooked in them.

Simon.

I made a smoker out of a biscuit tin and bought a pot of smoking dust for £1.99 out of my local fishing tackle shop. It is cheap but very effective and costs a lot less than buying smoking bags.
