I'm off camping in a forest this weekend and would like to be able to locate my tent when it's dark. Any ideas on an LED flashing light I could clip to the tent?
Old reflective strips from a high viz vest works well if your using a torch or asda do two flashing led lights that the rubber housing also glows in the dark for seven quid one red on White .
I swear by these (or fisherman's mini glow sticks if you want a cheaper but less versatile alternative). These LED key rings don't flash, but for 99p they're a bargain and last ages on one battery.
I've used these rod tip lights for donkeys years, never let me down, you can spot them a long way off and the batteries last a long long time, whereas the starlite type last about eight hours each.
Just a £1 keychain light placed strategicly should do the trick mate. A trick I use in woods with paths is to place an object (largish branch, rock, etc) on the nearest path pointing to my camp. Works every time, and doesnt attract unwanted attention.
