Teddy Tours to Great Bride Stone

Lots of contours above Todmorden

and still plenty of snow, came up to trig point in a snow flurry SD 9323 2673

the Great Bride Stones are just below and to the side

with the low cloud and snow I took the photo's on "snow" setting but they still came out dark

so have had to lighten in photo software

it's like being at a sculpture park

I bet full moon would be "spooky"

found a spot out of the wind with a seat and table for dinner

made a brew then steak and onions in a homemade bread (Canadian wholewheat) sandwich

with this the view to the right

and this left down towards Todmorden

i envy teddy i really do, a nice walk a lovely dinner and those views! i wish we had something as pretty as that near here!

Great pics as usual Danny that rock in the second pic down is looking rather precarious,cant believe you still have snow,today weve had a mix of sunny/frosty,seen no snow since the start of January,although think some's forecast for further north this evening.Mmmm steak and onions arrghhh drool (homer style) think next time i camp i will take some fresh instead of the usual boil in bag.

This was when I spotted the likely spot for dinner

and nearer before it turned into Teddys Bistro

exploring along the escarpment I came across this old track

I wonder whether who ever did this was after the block or to make the hole ?

Or maybe just to upset okenest: the Gritstone mafia
