About 1/2 way through your picture series, you show two areas on the ground which appear to be scratched clear of vegetation.
You should ask about the timing of the rut, (the reproductive season of estrus) for the local deer population.
Had I found those here, I would claim them to be "scrapes" made by bucks. Next, they urinate in the scrape,
their pheromones waft away on the breezes to advertise their mating availability.
The other thing to look for will be shrubs, I'll say waist-high or better, probably with broken twigs and shredded bark.
Evidence of rubbing off dried, itchy velvet as the antlers mature.
