tarp tipi combo??

has anyone out there tried combinimg a polish tipi with a tarp? I want to provide a bit of rain cover and an area for seating. I could just put the tipi up, then set the tarp over it.. It's probably a no brainer, but i'm sure someone out there has got a clever solution!

I was playing around with a Shangri la 3 the other day, using a square tarp with one corner going to the centre pole works well. Prop the opposite corner up with a pole and pegs the other two down.

I spent a few days out in the summer with exactly the set up shewie describes. Shangri la 3 plus dd3x3tarp. It worked very well.

Done it with a Vango Peace 500 & a 3m x 3m polytarp. A bit bigger than the Polish thingy but still worked very well...

it's all about having an area to sit organise cook etc.. Is it what squaddies call an admin area? Ex hippies call it chill out space..!
