Tarp plus space blanket? anyone tried it?

when i finally get round to taking my polish lavvuu out for a play i may try and rig a foil sheet inside like the tarp idea. for the heat but also with one uco candle lantern the foil should really reflect the light quite well. something to try anyway!

but let us know how it goes i reckon for size and weight of a space blanket it might be a great wee tweek

I've been using a US issue space blanket like this for quite a while, before i started using a tent, and it's definitely a good idea. Great for keeping warm in a poncho basha in the depths of winter.

yep, I've done this, the same as in Blackey's video.
It was a couple of winter's ago, works fine until the fire go's out
I used a 2 season bag, bivvy, mat, the temp went down to about -3C, I woke with cold feet !, relit the fire & went back to sleep.
It would have been better with a bigger space blanket.
