Chatting to a guy over the weekend about my new tent and how I was going to warm and light it, and spoke about lamps to do both. He turn around and said if you can use them you can have them.
Not sure if they are any good but may try and clean them up and see ?

Cheers mate
Bob scored the same as me but as he was in bare bow was just out of the running, colin nearly ended up shooting on his own as the rest of his group got split up to make up other groups bigger so he got put with us as neil and his career didnt turn up. It was a great day but the chiggers were out in force

Yeah my cousin worked for them a few years ago and got a couple of their things for a discount price. If I had to buy one a full rates I am not sure if I would, but that is just me.
I will email my cousin to remind him to bring mine and his when he comes down.

Hi guys, is it normal for a wedge to go in without much hassle all the way? seems to be a fair amount of squeeze of the sides on the top? is this okay?

Re helved it with a shop bought handle with a bit of linseed stuck on it. Due to time space and tool constraints making my first one myself wasnt an option this time.

I don't use glue but give a good soaking in linseed oil, and I don't cut them flush to the metal, leaving it 1/4" or so proud allows the handle to flare out preventing the head slipping, that came from an old lecturer of mine who served in the forestry commission all his working life

Ant one up for playing in the woods tomorrow, I have to go to the vets at 9.30 then I am free as Vic don't want me at home when our landlady comes for a visit, just in-case I say something I shouldn't
