Just use two blankets.
thick un for ground insulation and a large un you can wrap yourself in so three layers beneath and one layer on top.
sleep using a swannie etc as extra upper covering if needed.

Yeah think that's the way I may go, as far as carrying Personal kit/food, think I will go with the Haversack I made for the last one, and make a Market slevey thing for the food that I cant get in the Food quiver .

I think the swag type roll and separate bag for thing neded quickly is a good way to go.

I managed to get 72 hrs worth of food and brew into the gas mask bag.

yeah I did like that way, but as always I like to try new things...

The only thing I would say is with mine I used rope, that cut in, so would now go with straps....

Were I to do four days ala boone I reckon I'd copy andor.
soda bread for first couple days.
then resort t bannock or corn bread/hard tack.
Fresh meat first couple days then chorizo/sausage.

all.part the fun aint it

I agree there, and to be honest its the way they would of done it, start with the fresh the work their way through to stuff like HArdtack ..

Have just ordered this £4.99, View attachment 28958 for the Boone challenge. Will strap the sausage to the top of it, this style,View attachment 28959 and not use the gas mask bag. Should be a more comfortable to carry.

Yes, I thought it looked about right. I was thinking of making one, but at £4.99 why bother. I will mod it with straps for the roll though.

Just be cautious as to the quality if you get from MM....
I got one n it was absolutely hammered
