If you ever find them, try dried peaches. I had apricots for a while for pack lunches etc, but found peaches and they are so much nicer :)

Shame they are not as easy to get hold of

Still not tried the parched corn. Not sure my teeth would survive

How the heck did you get the roll that slim? Mine is titanic by comparison, and as yet has nothing but the bedding in there with canvas wrapped around it.

Nice one Simon, see you there.

Dried peaches.. mmmm sounds good... may have to get some...

Parched corn is not that bad, I've not ground mine yet and left it in whole kernels

Nice one Colin looking good... its going to be fun seeing how every ones pack differs..:)

I'd better think about packing rest of my kit tonight, and seeing how it all goes together, Ive just got to buy a bit of veg, cheese, the bacon, which I'll roast on Thursday night, I been wondering about pre-soaking the beans as Albus has said, but not sure yet... it would save the water.....

I am going to make some Hard Tack just for the shear hell of it.... found this as well for hard tack
