At what dia does string become rope? The reason I ask is that I have just bought a cheap tarp for use to make a shelter over the back of car when my son goes model car racing. It was advertised as "rope reinforced hems" but when it arrived the dia of the hem was 2mm. Which to my mind is string not rope.
