I am absolutely stunned. Beautiful piece, such craftsmanship. The thing is that he is crying out for an as authentic handle Would be a great challenge to try and match his work with your own handle.

I am sure there is a guide online for handling a stone axe somewhere with a native wood that would have been around in the Neolithic period such as ash or rowen.

I did try to make a handle for it when I found it but struggled to get the attachment looking authentic.

Well spotted! Very fine tool, probably too fine to be a working tool - archaeologists reckon they were mostly ceromonial, or like a badge of office the same way as a mace often is now.
