Stick insect.

The stick insect I found last year has returned.( It may be its friend instead.) It hasn't escaped, they're resident down here, but normally found in the winter sunbathing on white walls. Photos to follow when I can upload.

The privet hedge in my grans back garden in Worcester used to be crawling with them

They came over with tropical plants in Victorian times, all 3 species settled in exotic gardens about 14 miles away. They're still here now, and also settled in the Isles of Scilly. Always random to see them in winter though.

we had lots ... they were all called sticky....

was the quote from blackadder "the stickiest situation since sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun?"
