Ruud that's a really good job! The chaga needs to be dried. If it isn't softer using a knife to make shavings or a rock to dust the chaga helps. There are also other natural uncharred tinders that will work but chaga IMHO is the best.

AWESOME PICTURES AND VID!! I have used Chaga extensively but have never ground it into a powder. I am going to try that the next time out!!

Great job robevs73. The F1 looks great as well. I need to re-handle some knives but never actually done it. On a Kydex and Tenkara kick right now but once those fevers have broken with put some focus on re-handling knives.

Went out on sunday and found some rocks ( looked like your quarts) but no sparks too soft!
