I agree that was a great shame as the actual wood that spyderco used did look absolutely gorgeous....it sincerely was a great shame the stabilization process was not successful in some cases, a huge waste of effort for someone for sure.
The irony is that I can POST TREAT blades too....i.e. I can treat completed knives.
Sure it takes more effort and would cost more due to preparation and clean up after, but for some folks preserving their pride and joy might be worth it?
