I have a terracotta three-story "pagoda" shaped seed sprouter...
It works well, keeps a perfect level of humidity, keeps the seeds in the dark and allows air flow.
But the little holes that allow the water to drain used to get clogged by the roots of whatever I tried to grow. Clearing them with a pin was a real chore.
I must have done a bad job of clearing those holes, because mould got established in the unglazed terracotta and despite boiling it and drying it in the oven it now sends any seeds mouldy in the space of a few hours.
